POM - November Submissions

October was an eventful month with school work and frequent trips to Toronto to cover the Occupy protests, among other things.  Here are November's POM submissions.

FEATURE
TORONTO, Ont. (29/10/2011) - Just days before Halloween, staff at American Apparel get in the spirit by dressing up and handing out candy to passers-by.  The Yonge St storefront window was dressed with live models that danced to music and posed in their costumes.  Photo by Tom Hicken.

TORONTO, Ont. (27/10/2011) - Hundreds of unionized workers joined Occupy Toronto protestors and marched through the streets of Toronto's financial district Thursday, shutting down part of Bay St. traffic for more than an hour.  Banks at each corner of the intersection closed and locked their main doors, forcing those with appointments inside to find another way in.  Photo by Tom Hicken.

TORONTO, Ont.  (25/10/2011) - St. James Park in downtown Toronto has become home for many involved in the Occupy Toronto movement.  People from all walks of life partake in the Occupy rallies, but those camped out in the park are predominantly students, artists, and the homeless.  Musicians often perform together to raise spirits and stay warm, and ask for donations to help support their cause.  Photo by Tom Hicken.
